Greater Graze Flock Information

  • Production — Most hens average one egg a day and lay for more years than many breeds.
  • Genetics — Selected for hardiness. Standard Rhode Island Red genetics with no known breeding out across multiple flocks and roosters. Natural remedies + good genetics = best results.
  • Feed — Free-ranging diet of seeds and bugs, plus our own home-mixed feed (non-factory produced).

Greater Graze Process

  • Collect — Eggs collected throughout the day to keep them clean, protected, fresh, and at ideal temperature.
  • Select — Each egg inspected; we remove soiled/odd-shaped/too large/extra small/cracked, and send an ideal range of sizes for incubation.
  • Extras — When inventory allows, we may include complimentary extras (space permitting). Extras aren’t guaranteed unless listed (e.g., +1). Complimentary extras broken in transit aren’t replaceable; purchased eggs: photograph and contact us immediately.
  • Climate — Eggs stabilized in a climate-controlled environment at optimal temperature and dry humidity to prevent condensation/mildew.
  • Identification — Eggs are individually marked with food-grade, egg-safe ink.
  • Freshness — We allow a temperature-stabilization period to avoid condensation issues. Typically ships within 24–48 hours of lay.
  • Pro prep — Our proprietary expert packaging: individually wrapped; double-bubbled; third thermal layer; double-boxed.
  • Shipping — If free expedited shipping is included, we choose the fastest estimated method among UPS Ground/Ground Saver, FedEx Ground/Economy, and USPS Priority. If you select your own method, we use that unless we can upgrade to a faster one at similar cost. Tracking provided. (Applies to shipped listings.)
  • Drop-off — Dropped at the most reliable locations before cutoff. Tracking visibility is similar to what you see. (Applies to shipped listings.)
  • Customer care — We usually message each customer at dispatch with our Tips for a Successful Hatch guide. Please contact us first with any issues; we’re here to help.
  • Important — If you have an issue, please give us the opportunity to fix it by reaching out.

FAQ

  • International — Do you ship overseas? No. If you hand-carry internationally, you assume the risk (timing, customs). Delays can occur due to carriers/weather. Order early or upgrade to overnight/2-day to build margin.
  • Upgrades/changes — Can I change my order/shipping? Possibly, if it hasn’t dispatched. If we’ve quoted an upgrade, approve it via the dropdown on this listing under “Quoted Upgrade.”
  • Hatch rates — What is typical? Professional/industrial incubators sometimes see the “100% club.” 80–90% is excellent; 50–70% can still be fine. Small batches vary widely (each egg ≈16%). Many listings include a free egg to improve odds. No one can guarantee universal results; many variables exist. If you encounter a serious issue, contact us first — we’re reasonable and responsive.
  • Pricing — How is it structured? We offer both shipping-included and shipping-separate options for flexibility. We aim to be the best, not the cheapest, and do not cut corners. Costs include premium packing, expedited methods, fees, and labor.
  • Sexing eggs — Can you send only females? No. Sex cannot be determined pre-incubation; claimed methods don’t beat 50/50 over time.
  • Shipping delay — What if my shipment is late? A couple of days typically doesn’t matter for fresh, expertly packed eggs. Still, notify customer care if late. (Applies to shipped listings.)
  • Redirect — I used the wrong address. Can you reroute? Some services allow it; some don’t. Contact us. (Applies to shipped listings.)
  • Coloration — My chick has lighter feathers. Normal? Yes. Early feather variations can occur and usually normalize within weeks. Our flock is Rhode Island Red only, selected for hardiness.
  • Review — I left incorrect feedback. Can I change it? Usually feedback is permanent; limited exceptions exist. Please contact us with any issue first so we can resolve it.

Rhode Island Red Breed Information

  • Purpose — Dual-purpose heritage breed: eggs and meat.
  • Size — Hens ~6.5 lb; roosters ~8.5 lb.
  • Characteristics — Great layers, self-sufficient, low maintenance, beginner-friendly, love to forage/free-range, very hardy.

Best Incubation Tips

[Every order includes a “Tips for a Successful Hatch” guide]

  • Before incubation — Keep at room temperature; store pointy end down in cartons/trays.
  • When ready to incubate — Place under a broody hen or in a pre-heated incubator.
  • Temperature & humidity — Follow incubator recommendations; we use 99.5°F with ~55–60% humidity, raised to ~65–70% for the last 3 days.

*Unwashed preserves the egg’s natural bloom; slight natural nest debris may be present.

**Note: Hatch rates cannot be guaranteed by anyone; too many variables (mating, weather, transport, incubation). We monitor fertility and use expert packing to maximize your chances. If you experience issues, please contact customer care.

***We guarantee eggs arrive unbroken. If any purchased egg is broken, photograph and contact us immediately. Complimentary extras are not replaceable.

Report any breakages or issues as soon as possible for best support. And we love good-news updates and photos!

A Note from the Farmer

Hi, I’m Adam, the owner. If you’re scrolling listings trying to save a few dollars, here’s the bottom line: we’re not the cheapest; we focus on being the best. Our reviews reflect how far we go from start to finish so you can have peace of mind. We keep quality, free-range, strong, healthy birds; ship the freshest eggs (laid the day of or day before), perform QC, mark eggs with food-grade ink, and hatch constantly ourselves. Our pro packing is second to none — individually wrapped, double-bubbled, double-boxed, with extra padding. We ship same day or next business day (late night/weekend orders go next business day) via expedited methods (Priority Mail) or FedEx Economy/UPS Ground if faster by estimate. Most importantly, you can message a real person for personalized help. If you have any issue (rare), we believe in old-school customer service and will do our best to make you a happy repeat customer.

Questions? Reach out via the customer service info on the product — we’re happy to help.
