We're family owned & operated, based in Plantersville, Texas on the family farm!
Greater Graze Flock Information:
  • Production - Most of our hens average one egg a day & lay for a longer period of years than other breeds.
  • Genetics - We select for hardy. Our goal is not weak, registered, inbred pure bloods. We have standard Rhode Island Red genetics with no known breeding out. We have multiple flocks and multiple roosters. Together with only natural remedies, and good genetics, we see this as the formula for the best results.
  • Feed - Free ranging with a Natural diet of seeds and bugs, together with our own home made self mixed feed, non-factory produced!
Greater Graze Process:
  • Collect - Eggs collected throughout the day to ensure they are clean, protected, fresh, and that temperature of eggs remains ideal
  • Select - Eggs are inspected individually; selecting the best eggs for sale and removing the worst (soiled, dirty, odd shaped, over large, extra small, cracked etc), so you get the finest quality and best chances of success! Our flocks are mix aged and naturally lay mix sized, but our quality control is meticulous at selecting the right range of sizes for sale, so the ones you receive are all within the ideal size range for incubation.
  • Extra's - When extra inventory is available, from Grade A, or the best of the Grade B eggs (usually smaller) we are sometimes able to include them as extra's (box space permitting). This is not guaranteed unless specified in the listing as a +1 or +Free 1, etc. but we try by all means to fit extra. This comes with a higher risk of breakages if there's no box space, so it's not always possible. If an extra (complimentary) egg is broken, that cannot be replaced. If a purchased egg breaks (thankfully this is rare), take a photo and let us know immediately by clicking on "contact seller" in our profile.
  • Climate - Eggs are brought into a climate controlled environment to stabilize at optimal temperature and optimal (dry) humidity levels to prevent condensation &/ mildew.
  • Identification - Eggs are individually identified with food-grade egg safe ink for the chick’s safety.
  • Freshness - We are careful to maintain an acclimatization/ temperature stabilization period. Eggs that are laid, prepped and shipped immediately can give issues with condensation. We like to have eggs which are laid in the morning early, stabilized and shipped later in the day; and eggs laid the afternoon before stabilized and shipped next morning. Typically you can be sure Greater Graze eggs are shipped within 24-48hrs.
  • Pro prep - Our unique proprietary expert packaging is second to none. 1: Individually wrapped, 2: Double Bubbled, 3: 3rd layer of Protective bubbles (Thermal in Summer / Winter!), 4: Double Boxed.
  • Shipping - In cases where the selected product listing includes free shipping, free expedited (UPS, Fedex, or Priority Mail), this is how it works: We select the fastest estimated delivery time between UPS Ground, UPS Ground saver, Fedex Ground, Fedex Ground Economy, and USPS Priority Mail. If you have a specific preference due to a carrier issue in the area etc, let us know via the note in the order or via the contact seller option on our profile, and we'll try to accommodate you. If your selected product listing does not have shipping included in the price (ie you select a listing that allows you to select your own shipping, in order to get cheaper economy shipping, if for example you live in certain states, or an upgraded express or over night service by paying more), then this is what we go with, unless for example, you select a method and we find an even faster method for same/ similar cost. You will be sent tracking through ebay messaging.
  • Drop off - We drop off at the most reliable locations, before the cut-off time. At this point we're pretty limited as to what we can see (tracking wise) to what you can see. (See below for potential delays).
  • Customer care - We usually initiate a personal message to each customer once their order dispatches, with the Tips for a Successful Hatch guide, in order to give you a head start for going through the incubator checklist (even if you're a pro!) to ensure you're ready when they arrive, and have the best chance of success. We can be easily reached for any issues / questions at all. We still offer good old school customer care!
  • Important - If you have an issue, please give us the opportunity to fix it, by taking a minute to let us know!
FAQ's:
  • INTERNATIONAL | Do you ship overseas? - No. We don't ship eggs overseas. If you're ordering eggs to take on a flight with you, you export at your own risk. We are responsible for sending fresh, quality eggs, prepping them professionally and shipping on time. We are not able to refund or replace because of: Ordering too late, Poor hatch rates due to extended shipping/ travel conditions, or your customs denying entry. Thanks for understanding, but these things would be outside of our control, and you would be taking that risk. Delays happen sometimes due to shippers, weather etc which are outside of our control once they leave us. Our expert packaging takes this into account. Important: The best way is to build in extra time by ordering early, or upgrading shipping to overnight/2nd day air. Do not make the mistake of going online and getting advice from impractical commentators who tell you that they won't hatch unless you order at the last minute. Ordering at the last minute does not increase hatchability virtually at all. It just increases the possibility that they miss your flight.
  • UPGRADES/ CHANGES | Can I change my order/ my shipping?  As a courtesy to our customers, upgrades, changes and customizations may be available, if your order has not yet dispatched. If you have requested and received a quote, please approve it by selecting the relevant amount in the dropdown (on the right on this listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/156078921036 under "Quoted Upgrade"), so we can dispatch your order speedily.
  • HATCH RATES |  What is a typical hatch rate? It's never good to "count your chickens before they hatch"; we have found that most of our "100% club" are people who have professional/ industrial incubators. I would consider a 80-90% rate Excellent. Slightly below (50's 60's 70's), Totally Fine; but when you get into 50 and below that, there might be some kind of an issue. For small batches of 6, each egg is 16% so rates can really vary massively. That's why many of our listings usually include at least one free egg to improve your success rate.**  Obviously no one (not even a hen!) can tell if a chick will hatch. Eggs that don't develop aren't necessarily infertile at the start, and there are a number of things genetically or environmentally which can go wrong early in the process. The fact is, even in nature, even under the best conditions, some eggs within a clutch might not hatch. We do constantly monitor fertility with our own incubation to ensure we're sending quality eggs. But even if we do provide fresh quality eggs, fast shipping and expert packaging, please don't expect to be in the 100% club.. It's a very exclusive club! If you make it, good for you, you may even be highlighted in the reviews, but don't expect to attain to that. Aim for above 50, most of our customers get well above that, and if you should encounter a serious issue, please reach out to us first, so we are at least made aware, and can assist you with a solution. You'll find us very reasonable and our customer care very personal, knowledgable and professional.
  • PRICING | What is your pricing structure? We've heard we're cheap and expensive! We try to offer flexible pricing - listings that include shipping and listings that don't, so you can upgrade/ downgrade shipping depending where you live. Our aim is not to be the cheapest, but to be the best. We could be slightly cheaper, if we cut corners. We don't do that. If you add up the cost of: - Expedited Shipping, External box, Internal box, Individual bubble bags, External bubble bags, Bubble wrap, Attic thermal insulation, Hot melt tape, Ebay seller fees, Ebay advertising fees, 1/2 hr per pro package employee costs (min), customer service costs, and production costs, We honestly really don't come out with much. Sometimes shipping to some locations actually puts me in negative territory. We can assure you we're not getting rich off this.
  • SEXING EGGS | Can you send me female eggs? Unfortunately there is no way to determine if a fertile egg will be a male or female because in the current dormant pre-incubation stage, the fertile material is only visible on a microscopic level until the egg begins to be incubated. It is just not impossible to tell, and it technically could go either way 50-50 (on large quantities), but for small quantities, it can be off to either way by quite a bit sometimes, because each egg represents a big chunk of the whole, some batches might be more female, some more males, just depends. If someone tells you they can sex an egg it's just not right. These methods are akin to dowsing water or using a divining rod, and don't scientifically beat the 50-50 chance unless by accident, though some might swear by it, we cannot in good conscience tell people confidently as others, this is a male egg, this is a female egg, as we don't subscribe to those methods
  • SHIPPING DELAY | What happens if my shipment is late? In nature they lay an egg a day for quite a number of days and they stay dormant all that time, only then do they begin incubating all at once and they hatch all at the same time. Obviously manual incubation methods with shipped eggs don't compare with nature, but we have found that no matter what the self proclaimed keyboard experts say, a couple days either way doesn't make much difference especially if the eggs are fresh and expertly packed. Though we can't guarantee carrier speeds, if your shipment is late please don't hesitate to let our customer care know.
  • SHIPPING REDIRECT | I've sent my shipment to the wrong address, can you redirect? Certain services do (from the customer / shipper end) allow this, certain don't. Please let us know if you have an issue in this regard.
  • COLORATION | One of my chicks have some lighter feathers when they hatched, is this normal? Just like you'll have a variety in egg colors from dark brown to light brown, Rhode Island Red chicks can sometimes display unexpected feather colors due to genetic factors. It's nothing to worry about and within a couple weeks will grow out. Our flock is unmixed, we only breed Rhode Island Reds. We have sourced our flock from reputable sources over the years and we breed for hardiness primarily. Sometimes Rhode Island Reds will have lighter feathers when they first come out as chicks, to more or less degree. This will be indistinguishable and standard breed genetics will be visible within a short time.
  • REVIEW | I made an incorrect feedback, how do I change it? Most feedback is permanent and can't be changed. If you have any issue at all, please give us the opportunity to fix it, by taking a minute to let us know. There are a limited number of situations where it is sometimes possible to send a revision request to a buyer but this process is very difficult and certain things are permanent. Bottom line is, any issue at all just let us know by clicking on our profile and contact seller, and we'll fix it Speedily.. it's in our name!

***We Guarantee Our Eggs Will Arrive Unbroken; We have great hatch rates, but obviously if anyone guarantees universal individual hatching success they're not being truthful because once they leave the farm there are many different variables with shipping & incubating. If  you do have any issues, please don't be shy to simply send us a message, we always strive to go above and beyond to keep our customers happy
- It is rare, but please report any breakages/ other issues directly, as soon as possible, so we can give you our best customer service.
- Please also send any good news/ pictures/ feedback if you get a chance.

A Note from the Farmer:
Hi I’m Adam and I’m the owner. If you’re scrolling through all these listings trying to figure out which is legit and also trying to save $5 for the next 2 hrs, please save yourself the effort: We’re not the cheapest, we are the best. Our reviews are outstanding because we go the extra mile from start to finish so you can have peace of mind.  We have quality birds, free range, strong and healthy, natural feed; and we ensure you get the freshest ones (as in, laid the day of, or the day before they are on their way to you!); we do a quality control, then we identify them for you with food-grade egg safe ink for the chick’s safety; we also hatch them ourselves all the time with great success. Then we have, what I’ve heard over and over again is, the best ever system of pro, expert packing, individually, double bubbled, double boxed, with extra padding on top of that. We ship same day or first business day after your order arrives (if late night/ weekend), free of charge, using expedited (Priority Mail), or we use Fedex Economy or UPS Ground if their estimated delivery date is faster. And best of all, you can rest assured: if you have any questions about incubating, about your order or anything else, you can message a real person, and get a personalized, thoughtful, timely, and hopefully helpful response.  You also have the peace of mind that if you have any issue with the order, (which honestly is very seldom), we still believe in old-school customer service, and promise to always do our best to make a happy repeat customer who will refer our small business to their friends.
Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out via the customer service info on the product! We'd be more than happy to help. All the best!

You are purchasing natural fresh fertile Rhode Island Red hatching eggs through the mail. We work very hard to ensure the best chances of success, as can be attested to by our hundreds of happy customers. But as with any pregnancy, or any clutch (domestic or in the wild), there is no guarantee of success, by us nor any other supplier. We monitor our fertility rates constantly by incubating ourselves, we also use the best carriers, and are confident we have the best climate controlled prep & professional packaging, along with good old school customer care, but no system (sending, transport, and incubation) is perfect. Thankfully, it's not often, but sometimes (even in nature), some eggs, or even an entire clutch won't hatch. When ordering hatching eggs via the mail (from anyone or anywhere), there is inherent risk, which is why, as no doctor can guarantee a complication free pregnancy, neither we, nor anyone else, can honestly guarantee hatchrates, lack of complications, nor automatic success in every case. Thank you for your understanding & feel free to reach out to customer care if you have any questions or issues at all, we're here for you!
